Thesis Binding

Undergraduate honors theses may be submitted for binding at the Bartle Library Circulation desk between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday- Friday.

A minimum of two copies of a thesis are required: one for the student’s department, and one for the libraries' collection. These are bound at no expense to the student. Students may submit copies for personal use at the same time, but each personal copy will cost $15.00 USD payable at submission. Payment must be in the form of cash or a personal check made payable to: LIBRARY I.F.R. ACCOUNT #900402. Students should arrange for their personal copies to be forwarded to them through their department upon return from the bindery.

We recommend that undergraduate students refer to the BU Graduate School’s Preparing & Submitting Your Thesis or Dissertation.

Theses may be submitted on any quality paper (8 1/2” x 11”), but each copy should be made from the same paper ream to ensure consistent color and weight.  All copies should be printed single-sided.

Masters Projects may also be submitted for binding but the student bears the cost to bind all copies. The libraries does not collect or catalog masters projects.

Graduate theses and dissertations are handled through the Graduate School Office.
