Hometown News Release Program

Binghamton University believes in recognizing and celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of our students, faculty and staff. We strive to accomplish this for our students through our Hometown News Release Program. News releases are sent to students' hometown newspapers to highlight a variety of accomplishments such as receipt of scholarships and other honors, campus involvement, volunteer efforts, student research and graduation.

Please note: The media relations' team reserves the right to review the information and determine whether or not a news release will be written and distributed. Also, news organizations make editorial judgments on what items to publish and when. Major publications in large metro areas are may be less likely to run hometown releases.

International students: We are only able to send hometown news releases program to outlets in the United States.
