Binghamton University offers spring management courses


BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University’s Center for Innovative and Continuing Education is offering three spring management courses in room 220 of the University Downtown Center, 67 Washington St., Binghamton:

Effective Technical Writing: Tuesday, April 15

9 a.m.-4 p.m./Cost: $199

This workshop will focus on an effective model and process that can be used to achieve clarity in technical writing. Class presentation will consist of PowerPoint presentations, handouts, lecture and interactive group work, including extensive networking. Practice and evaluation are also included.

Dealing Effectively with Difficult People: Wednesday, April 23

8 a.m.-4 p.m./Cost: $199

This program will provide practical skills to more effectively interact with a wide range of difficult people, from customers to co-workers to direct reports or supervisors. Learn valuable interpersonal skills during interactive scenarios and key strategies to successful communication.

Maximizing Employee Motivation: Wednesday, April 30

8 a.m.-4 p.m./Cost: $199

This workshop demystifies the concept of motivation and helps leaders develop practical strategies to promote higher performance by their employees. Attendees will learn how to find motivators that best fit individual workers. The motivational strategies discussed are those readily available to all supervisors.
