MRC Internship Opportunities

FALL/SPRING INTERNS

Creative DeveloPMent or Strategic Marketing Interns

Responsibilities:

  • To manage the MRC social media accounts
  • To update and maintain the MRC website and calendar
  • To assist with creation and distribution of the MRC monthly newsletter and other promotional materials
  • To help with developing marketing campaigns for programs and events
  • To help expand the awareness of and brand recognition of the MRC
  • To attend weekly staff/marketing team meetings and cultural student group meetings
  • To assist with other tasks as assigned
  • Weekly seminar required

Hours:

Minimum 6-10 hours per week throughout the semester.

Compensation:

Interns will get  2 to 4 CDCI or HDEV Internship credits per semester.

Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented, self-starter, and creative
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Desire to learn and work in team

Program And Outreach Interns

Responsibilities:

  • To suggest new ideas related to the mission of the MRC
  • To reach out to student groups to encourage
    participation in MRC programs
  • To organize and maintain outreach materials
  • To assist the MRC assistant director and other staff with all aspects of event preparation (workshop, meeting, and other social events)
  • To attend weekly staff meetings and cultural student group meetings
  • To assist with other tasks as assigned
  • Weekly seminar required

Hours:

Minimum 6-10 hours per week throughout the semester.

Compensation:

Interns will get 2 to 4 CDCI or HDEV Internship credits per semester.

Qualification:

SUMMER INTERNS

Responsibilities:

  • Assist MRC Associate Director and other staff with all aspects of event preparation
  • Help with MRC programming initiatives for Summer and Fall semester, which includes orientation activities
  • To assist with updating MRC website and other marketing materials
  • To manage the MRC social media accounts
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with self-initiation
  • Desire to learn and work in team
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Hours:

Minimum 15-20 hours per week

Compensation:

Interns will get 2 to 4 credits for each summer session.
