Pharmacy building construction update
Pharmacy building in Johnson City, N.Y. to be open for fall classes
The $60 million, 105,000 square-foot School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences building in Johnson City, N.Y., is undergoing finishing work as contractors prepare it for move-in this summer.
“There are always a number of items to finalize to ready a building for occupancy,” said Robert Langhans, Binghamton University’s architectural project coordinator. “We’ll be completing all of the interior work and exterior landscaping over the next several weeks and will be ready for the fall semester.”
Sidewalks and landscaping will help transform the outer areas of the building, as fencing and construction trailers are removed.
Furniture is also arriving for the building that will include state-of-the-art research labs, offices for faculty and staff, a lecture hall, classrooms and teaching labs.
