Online résumé review platform VMock introduced

The Fleishman Center introduced VMock, an online résumé review platform, to select students in October. Students upload their résumé or CV to VMock and receive instant and personalized feedback with line-by-line suggestions for strengthening their document so it both reads well and looks professional. After a successful soft launch, the Fleishman Center will introduce VMock to the full campus in spring 2019. Of the over 7,200 one-on-one career-consulting sessions conducted by Fleishman Center staff on an annual basis, over 30 percent involve résumé or CV reviews. Incorporating VMock into Fleishman Center resources empowers students with a 24-hour tool to get a first critique and will open up more staff time to focus on advanced-level feedback for résumés and additional professional development topics during career consultations.
