Harpur faculty could receive mentoring prize
Faculty would be recognized for commitment to students beyond the classroom
December 18, 2018
The new Harter Family Mentoring Prize for Harpur College Faculty will recognize faculty whose commitment to undergraduate students’ intellectual and creative development goes beyond the classroom. The prize was established thanks to the generosity of Michael T. Harter ’64 and Carol C. Harter ’64, MA ’67, PhD ’70, LHD ’14. Their support included an IRA qualified charitable distribution from Carol.
Full- or part-time Harpur College faculty are eligible for nomination if they have demonstrated substantial involvement with undergraduate students encouraging research, facilitating scholarly inquiry, providing academic or career advising and/or stimulating creative endeavors.
