Fourth-quarter activities of the institute

During this quarter, the University Educational Institute provided 27 trainings (nine workshops for faculty/staff and 18 workshops for students) with a total of 465 participants (201 undergraduate students, 165 graduate students, 12 faculty and 87 staff). DEI organized a webinar on examining ways to support students and their mental health, specifically male students of color.

UDiversity co-sponsored a workshop with the NAACP Binghamton University Chapter during their “Rock the Vote Week” program series focused on civic engagement and increasing voter turnout of students from campus. The workshop discussed the “The State of Black Women in Politics” and provided insight on the importance of increasing marginalized communities representation in government and other institutions.

UDiversity facilitated a workshop on campus speech with Res Life. This particular training was a part of Res Life’s Pro Staff biweekly meetings for department staff.
