University celebrates donor support for tennis center

Members of the Binghamton University community celebrated the generosity of Michael F. Lane ’89 and Lisa M. Lane ’89, MA ’92, at the April 26 dedication of the Lane Tennis Center on campus. The couple has given generously to enhance the University, including by providing support for the Binghamton men’s tennis team.

Michael Lane, secretary of the Binghamton University Foundation board, has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. As BlackRock’s head of iShares for US Wealth Advisory, he develops and distributes exchange traded funds (ETF) solutions to wealth managers.

He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Binghamton and is a former member of the University’s varsity tennis team. In addition, he is a recipient of the Alumni Association’s 2019 Medal of Distinguished Service. Lisa M. Lane also majored in political science; both of her Binghamton degrees are in that subject.
