Student-alumni networking expands in Silicon Valley

In the effort to increase students’ exposure to professional careers in the epicenter of high technology, the Office of Alumni Engagement and campus partners took students to the San Francisco Bay Area in May for alumni-hosted workplace visits and a networking session.

More than 20 alumni met with students to discuss their journey from Binghamton to the West Coast and offer advice on transitioning successfully from campus to a rewarding career. The students were able to make the trip to California at no out-of-pocket cost thanks to support from the Student-Alumni Programming Fee introduced in fall 2018.
