Auxiliary Services took the lead to present the inaugural Grad Fest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in the UU-Mandela Room, with over 600 students in attendance and 23 campus vendors participating. This event was a “one-stop shop” for graduating students to get all of the information and everything they needed before Commencement. At Grad Fest, students were able to purchase their caps and gowns, graduation announcements, class rings and yearbooks. They were also able to obtain ceremony and parking information, notify campus of family members needing disability accommodations, check in with the Alumni Association, complete their Senior Survey with Student Affairs Assessment and Strategic Initiatives (SAASI), sign up for the President’s Champagne Send-off, take a picture with Baxter the Bearcat, order additional Commencement photos, learn how to wear their regalia and so much more! This was a great opportunity for students to celebrate their accomplishments and have all of their questions answered and purchases and arrangements made in anticipation of Commencement.
