Confucius Institute of Chinese Opera at Binghamton University to hold 10th anniversary performance
BINGHAMTON, NY – The Confucius Institute of Chinese Opera (CICO) at Binghamton University will hold a 10th anniversary performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the Anderson Center Chamber Hall, on campus. This event is free and open to the public.
The performance begins with Beijing Opera acts from visiting teachers at the National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts (NACTA), as well as an opening act featuring current and past CICO students. The second part of the performance will feature a unique east-west chamber group performing original poems set to music that exemplify historical east-west relationships.
CICO at Binghamton University is a nonprofit organization jointly formed by Binghamton University and NACTA.
