School of Management to celebrate 50th anniversary with gala

The School of Management was established at Binghamton University in 1970

The Binghamton University School of Management is commemorating its 50th anniversary with a celebration in the heart of New York City.

The school’s golden anniversary fundraising gala will take place Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Grand Hyatt New York. The event is an opportunity to reflect on the school’s half century of success and to look forward to a future of continued excellence.

President Harvey Stenger will be the night’s keynote speaker, with Neil Berg ’86 and Company providing entertainment.

The School of Management was established at Binghamton University in 1970. In the five decades since, it has grown in size and reputation, and consistently appears on respected rankings of business schools in the United States.

The gala supports the School of Management Dean’s Excellence Fund, which helps the school recruit outstanding students, retain exceptional faculty and fund globally recognized research initiatives.

“Every student, alum, faculty and staff member, and friend of the school has had a role in our success,” said Dean and Koffman Scholar Upinder Dhillon. “As we keep pace with a changing business environment, this is an exciting time to be part of the School of Management. I hope you feel as proud as I do.”

“By working together, we can deliver 50 more years of tremendous success.”
