New live broadcast studio now available!

Thanks to a generous gift and continued support from Roger Mills Gilbert ’76, we now have

state-of-the-art live video technology right on campus. Installation of the new studio is now complete and includes a turnkey, high-definition video system. The facility is able to facilitate live or recorded interviews of a single guest with any television network in the world without the need for on-site technicians. Feeds can also be sent to Content Distribution Networks for webcasting and to various social media platforms such as Facebook for live video broadcasts. This project is significant and aligns with the belief that the achievements of our students, faculty and staff should be celebrated and shared with the world. Coverage of M. Stanley Whittingham’s Nobel Prize

We put a significant amount of work into publicizing Distinguished Professor M. Stanley Whittingham’s 2019 Nobel Prize in Chemistry — from the initial announcement, to his departure to Stockholm, to receiving the actual award. This consisted of everything from press releases to announce the award to videos and photos documenting our on-campus celebration. Whittingham’s award received worldwide media coverage in nearly every major outlet, from BBC News to The New York Times to three front-page stories in our local Press & Sun-Bulletin. All tolled, it was covered by 5,500+ news outlets in 132 countries, with a total global reach of 30.2 billion. On social media, this resulted in our #1 Instagram post of all time and a 3% increase in followers on Facebook since the announcement.

School of Management 50th anniversary video

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Binghamton University School of Management, we produced a video titled “Binghamton School of Management celebrates 50 years.” Founded in 1970, SOM has become a top-ranked business school. Investing in talented students, cutting-edge research and exceptional faculty, the school looks to continue growing its global reputation as a leader in business-tech education.
