Speaking Center debuts upgraded and expanded space

This fall, the Speaking Center (formerly the Public Speaking Lab) unveiled an upgraded and expanded space within the Chenango-Champlain Collegiate Center (C4) Student Success Center. In addition to the expanded physical space available for the Speaking Center to conduct appointments, several technology upgrades (high-definition cameras, Panopto recording equipment, LED lighting, etc.) have been added to each of the Speaking Center consultation rooms. The expansion and upgrades within the Speaking Center have all been made possible through the Road Map initiative.

The new and improved center has allowed for several new collaborations to take place. This fall, the Speaking Center collaborated with the School of Management to work with every new student enrolled in the MGMT 111 (Intro to Decision Making in MGMT) course. Speaking Center consultants worked with the MGMT 111 students to hone and refine their presentation skills on course-specific case presentations throughout the fall semester.
