Key positions filled in Division of Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs filled two important leadership positions with internal promotions this quarter.

Karima Legette has been appointed as the director of the Michael V. Boyd Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). Legette earned her Master of Science in Geography from Binghamton University and has worked within multiple Binghamton University opportunity programs dating back to 2002. She has served as an instructor for multiple courses and has worked within EOP since 2007, assuming progressively more responsibility within EOP. She most recently served as interim director.

Paola Ortega Joa Mignone has been appointed director of Residential Life. Mignone has more than 12 years of professional experience in residential life and student affairs, with approximately 10 years of that experience here at Binghamton in progressively more responsible positions. Most recently, Mignone served as interim director of Residential Life. She holds a BA and an MBA, and is a doctoral candidate here at Binghamton.
