Swimming & Diving earns CSCAA Scholar All-America honors
College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America recognizes the team
The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has released its list of Scholar All-America Teams for the 2019 fall semester and both the Bearcat men’s and women’s programs have once again made the grade.
To earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors, a program must have attained an overall GPA of 3.00 during a semester. Both Binghamton teams had overall GPAs of 3.45 for fall 2019.
“We are very proud of our student-athletes,” head coach Jerry Cummiskey said. “They do an amazing job balancing their time both in and out of the pool. Our academics here are very challenging and it is amazing how well they are able to thrive both academically and in the water.”
This marks the ninth straight semester that both Binghamton programs have been honored as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams.
The Bearcats return to the pool Feb. 13-16 at the America East Championships. The four-day event will be hosted by WPI.
