Online mentoring program relaunched, expanded

Because alumni are busy with professional and personal obligations, the Alumni Association and Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development have made it easier for alumni to make a difference in the life of a current Binghamton student.

Mentor Match is a program that connects students with alumni mentors. Communication happens online within the secure platform, so alumni can volunteer on their time regardless of location.

Mentor Match is a rebrand of the Binghamton University Mentoring Program, which had about 1,000 students and alumni participating. A marketing plan to grow the platform launched in March, resulting in more than 500 alumni from nine countries (United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Taiwan, Iraq, India, South Korea, and El Salvador) signing up as mentors.
