Binghamton University to celebrate Class of 2020 with Virtual Champagne Sendoff

BINGHAMTON, NY—Binghamton University, joined by notable alumni and public figures, will congratulate the Class of 2020 with a Virtual Champagne Sendoff at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 14, across the University’s social media platforms.

The University toasts to the graduating class each year, traditionally with a special celebration on campus. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the champagne sendoff will take place online. Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger will host the event, with appearances from Binghamton University alumni, faculty and staff, and other noteworthy public figures.

“The Class of 2020 has put in the work and persevered through an unprecedented academic year, and they deserve to be congratulated,” said Stenger. “This year’s champagne sendoff will be a blast. Wait until you see who we got to give a toast.”

During the event, the University will award 10 $25 Amazon gift cards to viewers via Facebook.
