Dear Students, Faculty, Colleagues and Friends,

The pride I have in everyone at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences cannot be overstated. The ways in which our students, faculty and staff have pulled together to complete a stressful semester have shown me that we remain dedicated to educating our students, resilient in the face of the pandemic and determined to meet any challenge put before us.

The plans that went into preparing for our fall semester have enabled us to carry through, even with two pauses to in-person instruction in what has been a compressed semester. Our plans for the spring semester will be no different; they will be exhaustive in detail, yet will provide us the flexibility we require to provide our students with the tools they need to succeed in a world that needs — more than ever — knowledgeable, patient-centered pharmacists.

I thank our Academic Task Force, led by Vice Dean Gail Rattinger, for continuing its work to plan and schedule how we will deliver our spring semester curriculum, as well as all of the faculty who continue to teach and mentor our students, and the staff who provide are critical to our recruitment and support of our outstanding students.

And I also thank our students who have been integral to the success of Binghamton University’s COVID-19 testing program and flu clinics this semester.

I wish you a safe and happy holiday season.

Sincerely,
