Foundation board elects officers, adds directors

The Binghamton University Foundation announces the following elected officers and new directors to its board. Their terms begin in January.
Elected officers
- Chair Owen Pell ’80, LLD ’11, president of the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities
- Vice Chair Stuart Koenig ’73, retired senior partner of Ares Management LLC
- Treasurer Andrew Bonzani ’86, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Interpublic Group
- Secretary Michael Lane ’89, head of USWA iShares at BlackRock (He is continuing his role as secretary of the Foundation board)
- Past Chair Sheldon Goldfarb ’73, board member of Higher One
New directors
- Anita Borkenstein ’86, co-founder and past president of Impact100 Westchester
- Mitchell Goldstein ’89, partner and co-head of the Ares Credit Group, member of the Management Committee of Ares Management, co-president of ARCC, vice president of American Capital Senior Floating Ltd., and vice president and interested trustee of CION Ares Diversified Credit Fund
- Joseph Haleski ’88, former managing director and vice president of Duquesne Capital Management Co.
- Katherine Wanner ’89, founding partner of Fairway Capital Management LLC
