Virtual tours of popular venues offered

Although in-person events are on pause until further notice, the Alumni Association continued its tradition of bringing people together for Home for the Holidays at Roberson Museum and Science Center in Binghamton.

This year, the Alumni Association offered a virtual viewing of hundreds of elaborately decorated trees, dazzling holiday displays and the International Forest — a collection of adorned trees and displays representing holiday traditions from around the world. This took place through a video that premiered on social media Dec. 8.

In mid-November, the Alumni Association produced a virtual video tour of Standing Stone Vineyards in the Finger Lakes. Tom Macinski ’78 led the tour. He is the former co-owner of the vineyard, currently lives on the property and serves in a consulting role. Macinski discussed the history of the site and winemaking operation, how he and his wife became involved with the vineyard, and the unique weather and geographical aspects that affect winemaking in the region.
