On May 18, the Alumni Association, Office of the President and Campus Activities held the President’s Celebratory Sendoff, a farewell party for students in this year’s graduating class.

This event, which took place on the Peace Quad, offered soon-to-be graduates commemorative Binghamton gifts, food from alumni-owned restaurants and professional photos at the berm. To comply with state COVID-19 guidelines, the party was held in several different waves throughout the day, each limited to 200 people.

The Alumni Association gave all members of the Class of 2021 an electronic copy of Life After Graduation Explained, a comprehensive guidebook with advice on a number of situations new graduates will encounter, such as renting an apartment, dealing with student loans and credit cards, opening and funding a retirement account, and making a positive impression in the workplace.
