The student-athlete success center has a revamped look and a new name: Visions Federal Credit Union Center for Student-Athlete Excellence.

A dedication ceremony was held Sept. 28 at the center, located in the West Gym.

The 3,500-square-foot facility reopened after renovations, made possible by Visions, were completed to improve the layout and appearance, and provide for programmatic enhancements.

The center provides resources and dedicated space that student-athletes can use to enhance learning, stay organized, better balance the demands of their sport and academics, and position themselves for success at Binghamton University and beyond.

The improvements give student-athletes access to new collaborative study spaces, including a group study area and group study rooms, and independent learning areas.

An estimated 100 student-athletes a day used the facility in person before the COVID-19 pandemic.

A gift-signing event was held in February 2019 at the Binghamton University Events Center.
