AAAHC Accreditation

The Decker Student Health Services Center (DSHSC) garnered a three-year accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) during its most recent the site visit in May of 2021. Organizations that earn AAAHC accreditation embody the spirit of 1095 Strong, quality every day, a transformational movement spearheaded by AAAHC to equip ambulatory leaders with the best of what they need to operationalize quality practices. Accredited organizations demonstrate high-quality care in an environment that promotes patient safety. The DSHSC scored high in the key areas of patient care and safety, governance, ensuring quality and credentialing of staff, and quality improvement among others. The AAAHC site survey included inspection of the delivery of healthcare services during the pandemic and for which we were either fully or substantially compliant. In the current circumstances, this is quite the achievement given there are only 291 student health service centers in the United States that are currently accredited.
