Telefund student callers wrapped up calling in May, ending the 2021-22 academic year with increases in donors and gifts compared to the previous year.

New donors acquired through the telefund:

  • Of the nearly 2,500 donors who gave through the telefund this academic year, more than 1,200 were new donors to the University.

More money raised:

  • The telefund raised more than $255,000 to support Binghamton, a 35% increase over a year ago.

Telefund calling will begin again in the fall semester.

In addition, to start or reinforce their tradition of giving, 235 students made a gift of at least $20.22 in recognition of their graduation year. They each received a philanthropy cord to wear at Commencement in May. Students were able to direct their support to the area of campus that means the most to them — for instance, the Binghamton Fund for Harpur College of Arts and Sciences, a department or a Student Association account.
