Alumni Association welcomes new students

In August, the Binghamton University Alumni Association sponsored B-Welcome Week activities.

Incoming first-year students received free Class of 2026 commemorative T-shirts, which were immediately worn as students posed for a photo ― in the formation of the University’s B icon ― on the East Gym track field. You can see a time-lapsed video of the students forming the “B” on the University’s YouTube channel.

The photo shoot preceded the New Student Picnic at the Events Center. Also, the Alumni Association arranged for legacy students ― who have at least one parent or family member who is a graduate of the University ― to arrive at their residence hall one day before the official move-in days began.

As the Alumni Association prepared to welcome students to campus, it also engaged Binghamton alumni who work on campus. Prior to student move-in, the association hosted an ice cream social at the Alumni Center in Old O’Connor Hall. The event was an opportunity to recognize and show appreciation for those alumni who make an impact on the University community through their professional service.
