The Research Foundation Human Resources Office at Binghamton University was honored during the annual Research Foundation Symposium held in November in Albany.

The department received the “Improving Service” award, which recognizes outstanding performance in the area of customer service at SUNY’s Comprehensive Colleges, Universities and Central Office. The HR team has demonstrated exceptional customer service, daily attentiveness, proactivity, patience, time management, emotional intelligence, crisis management and effective communication skills.

“We’re so pleased that the exceptional efforts of our Human Resources staff are being recognized in this way,” says Mary Beth Curtin, associate vice president for research.

She extended her congratulations to Adam Chavez, director of the office, as well as staff members Emily Hermanovitch, Darlene Quirello, Nicole Gorman and Aileen Ferro.

The theme of the 2022 symposium was “Succeeding Through Agility.” Lisa Gilroy, assistant vice president for sponsored programs at Binghamton, served as co-chair for the event.
