A multimillion-dollar, multiyear campaign led by the Division of Student Affairs to enhance infrastructure in Hinman College culminated in the dedication of Hinman Hill during Homecoming Weekend. A series of terraces built into the elevation in front of Lehman Hall, accompanied by lighting, landscaping and a new Hinman College sign, provide more usable space for student social gatherings, shows and concerts that encourage student interactions and promote a sense of community and belonging.

Al Vos, retired faculty member and Hinman collegiate professor from 1998–2020, and many others provided philanthropic support to advance the project. Vos returned to campus to help officially dedicate the space during Homecoming, Oct. 7–9, 2022. In addition to the dedication, student bands performed on the hill throughout the weekend, tours of the newly renovated Cleveland Hall and the Hinman Success Center were offered, and the new Hinman Dining Center was open to students and alumni, offering complimentary beverages and desserts and a a view of the fireworks display from the rooftop terrace.
