Preceptors of the Year celebrated in May

Students selected the award recipients

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences held its annual P4 Awards Ceremony and banquet May 10, on the Binghamton University main campus, also recognizing the preceptors of the year who were selected based on student nominations that focused on these individuals’ expertise in their respective areas, their ability to mentor and teach our students and their passion for the pharmacy profession.

The preceptor awards were presented as follows:

APPE Preceptor Awards

APPE Ambulatory Care Preceptor of the Year Award

Jocelyn Mumbulo, who precepts our students at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.

APPE General Medicine Preceptor of the Year Award

Josh Campbell, who precepts our students at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital.

APPE Community Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year Award

Andrew Nielsen, who precepts our students at Price Chopper, in Endicott, N.Y.

APPE Capstone Preceptor of the Year award

Tony Davis, a faculty member who precepts students at the SOPPS.

APPE Institutional Pharmacy Preceptor of the Year Award

Meldon Tom, who precepts our students at Northwell’s Plainview Hospital.

APPE Direct Patient Care Elective Preceptor of the Year Award

Gabrielle Hodson, who precepts our students at Westchester Medical Center, in Westchester, N.Y.

Faculty Preceptor of the Year Award

Wesley Kufel, clinical associate professor, who precepts APPE students at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, N.Y.
