School of Management programs top-ranked among public business schools in Wall Street Journal

Binghamton University ranks among the nation’s top public colleges for graduates who secure high-paying jobs in accounting, finance and marketing.

The University made the top 10 list for graduates who earn higher salaries in accounting, according to 2022-23 rankings published in the Wall Street Journal. Binghamton also ranked in the top 10 among fully public colleges for high-paying jobs in finance and ranked in the top 20 for high-paying jobs in marketing.

The School of Management (SOM) offers undergraduate and graduate accounting programs, as well as concentrations in finance and marketing.

“Our collaboration with alumni and industry partners over the years has established innovative outside-the-classroom learning opportunities, including the Zurack stock trading room, an investment fund managed by students and countless stock-pitch and business case competitions. These initiatives ensure our students are well-prepared for competitive and rewarding positions after graduation,” SOM Dean Shelley Dionne said. “As the fields of accounting, finance and marketing continue to evolve, we’re committed to providing skills that transform students into leaders who can anticipate and adapt to the demands of future business environments.”

Consistently ranked among the top public business schools in the nation, SOM recently moved up in overall rankings of public schools for 2023. Poets & Quants, a top publication for business education news, has ranked SOM in the top 10 among fully public business schools for two consecutive years.
