Speaker event examines NYC real estate trends

On May 16, the Alumni Association offered the TIER Talks event “A Place to Call Home? A critical look at the NYC housing market.”

TIER Talks — short for Talks that Inspire, Educate and Resonate — is a speaker series that features dynamic alumni and faculty speakers weighing in on hot topics. The recent TIER Talks event was a webinar that examined market trends in New York affecting those looking to move in or move up. The program also discussed public policy and advocacy efforts to ensure that fair and affordable housing remains a right, not a privilege.

The speakers were:

  • Rory Clark ’05 — award-winning NYC residential real estate broker at Brown Harris Stevens. He is among the 1% of agents in the city with a Certified Buyer Designation.
  • Joseph Jones ’07 — director of policy, advocacy and research at the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies. He has spent most of his career working on policy and program development in the areas of housing, economic development and social services.

The webinar is viewable on the Binghamton Learning Network website.
