Bikeshare program back on campus
Binghamton University Transportation and Parking Services (TAPS) has once again partnered with Koloni to bring a bikeshare program to campus, returning for the spring. There are 30 Binghamton University bikes available for student use at four bike rack locations around campus:
- Lecture Hall bike rack
- C4 bike rack
- Upper East gym bike rack
- Hinman bike rack
Bike can go to any destination on or off campus, but MUST be returned to one of the four bike hubs, listed above, when the ride is complete. Riders who fail to return a bike to one of the designated hubs will be charged $20.
Bikes may be reserved at no charge by students, faculty and staff for up to two hours per day. It will cost $5 per hour after the two-hour time period. When you download the app, credit card information is required. However, no charge will be made for renting the bike until after the free two-hour time period expires.
How does it work?
- Download the free Koloni app
- Create a user account
- Scan the QR code located on the bike or input the bike ID number
- Enjoy your bike ride
- Return the bike to one of the four hobs listed above.
- Scan QR code on the sign at the hub to verify proper return.
