Wellness to take center stage at Binghamton Health Fair
Interactive activities, mindful food tastings and wellness resources highlight the University’s commitment to a culture of health
Multidimensional health and well-being is the goal at Binghamton University, and the annual Health Fair brings the community together to showcase the many programs, services, and opportunities available to students to optimize their journey to a healthier self.
B-Healthy: Healthy Campus Initiative will host the Health Fair from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, in the University Union, with programming in the Mandela Room, Old Union Hall, and Tillman Lobby.
More than 80 student groups, campus partners, local businesses, and wellness advocates will be on hand to raise awareness of health and wellness resources on campus and in the community. The fair will feature wellness-themed activities, such as student-led stage performances, wellness checks, fitness challenges, and more.
Students are invited to “Amp Up Your Play” with interactive activities such as affirmation stations, yard games, coloring, and a scavenger hunt. The Health Fair will also feature mindful food tasting opportunities for attendees to slow down and savor what they eat, focusing on flavors and textures, while trying a variety of foods and food combinations. Mountainview Jams and Unkai Daido, a traditional Japanese drumming club, will provide entertainment.
“Our annual Health Fair reflects our commitment to creating a campus where health and well-being are woven into everyday life,” said Johann Fiore-Conte, associate vice president of student affairs and chief health and wellness officer. “It’s an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to connect with resources, learn health promoting strategies, and engage in meaningful conversations about what it means to thrive — individually and as a community.”
In February 2025, Binghamton University officials demonstrated the campus commitment to promoting a culture of health, well-being, and sustainability by officially adopting the Okanagan Charter as a member of the United States Health Promoting Campuses. The Health Fair is just one example of programming that supports this commitment. Learn more and register on the Health Fair website.
