It is the mission of the Office of Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) to provide a consolidated resource for education, prevention and support within the campus community in the area of substance use. Through collaboration with our colleagues and community, we endeavor to support a safer and healthier Binghamton University.
We are here to help. Our primary goal is to support students when they face questions or concerns regarding substance use. We work to provide you with sound information, techniques and strategies that you can use to make informed choices about alcohol and other substances.
We place great emphasis on maintaining your privacy and addressing your needs as you see them — without imposing judgment. We are available for open conversations about the role of alcohol and substances in the social lives of students, the effects of substances on the mind and body and harm reduction techniques.
We are available to clubs, organizations, Residence Life, and University staff to participate in and facilitate educational workshops and events, and provide up-to-date data and materials about alcohol and substances to other campus bodies. Contact our office to discuss how we can help with your program or event!
