In faculty personnel cases involving a recommendation for tenure, the President shall notify the faculty member of his/her decision to recommend tenure or deny tenure. If the President recommends granting tenure, the Human Resources Office will prepare the required UP-3 form for the President’s signature and for submission to the Chancellor.Upon approval by the Chancellor of the President’s recommendation to grant tenure, the faculty member will receive a formal offer of tenure from the Chancellor. This offer requires a formal acceptance by the faculty member by completing an endorsement on a copy of the Chancellor’s offer letter and returning that copy to the President’s Office.
