Baccalaureate Accelerated Track (BAT) Program Orientation
This program will provide you with an opportunity to hear from Decker faculty and staff, ask any questions that you have, and become acquainted with other new students and our campus.
When is it?
BAT orientation is scheduled for May 23, 2019 from approximately 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Please note, if you would like an optional tour of campus and Nursing facilities, please arrive by 9:00 a.m.
Who should go?
All incoming Baccalaureate Accelerated Track (BAT) Students.
How do I sign up?
Every newly admitted student who has paid his/her admission deposit should receive an invitation from the Orientation office. Simply visit the Orientation Registration website after May 2 to complete the registration.

When and where is check in?
Check-in for orientation begins at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 23 in the Chenango Champlain Collegiate Center (C4), Dickinson Community side. Parking will be available in Lot S1, when you arrive on campus, follow signs "EAST". An Orientation Advisor will hand you a parking permit to place in your car for the day. - Academic advising
- Introduction to Binghamton University/Decker School of Nursing technology
- Overview of your summer courses
- Uniform try-on and ordering
- Receiving your student ID
When will I register for classes?
You will be preregistered for your courses by the Decker School of Nursing, and will be shown how to view your schedule at orientation.
Will I be provided with a lunch?
Lunch will be provided and is included in the cost of the program.
What do I do with health forms?
The Decker School of Nursing and Binghamton University's Decker Health Services have separate health requirements. All new students must meet both set of requirements in order to be registered for courses. Contact the Decker School of Nursing's health requirement coordinator with questions regarding BAT-specific health requirements, or Decker Student Health Services Center at (607) 777-2221 with questions regarding University health requirements.
