5K Run/Walk/Stroll for Inclusion

5K Run/Walk/Stroll for Inclusion during virtual Family Weekend (Oct. 23–25)!

You are invited to participate and join students, faculty, staff and families as they walk to support inclusion at Binghamton University! Open to all abilities and ages. Support the student organization Best Buddies and the Institute for Child Development at Binghamton University.

How it works:

  • Make a donation or sponsor your student here:
    DONATE HERE
  • Suggested giving levels:
    • $5 — Toy time

    • $10 — Movie night

    • $20 — Zumba

    • $50 — Arts and crafts/paint and play

    • $100 — Outdoor fun

  • The run, walk or stroll can be completed at any time during Oct. 23–25
  • Keep track of your 5K (3.2 miles) time through your Fitbit, your iPhone Health App or Track my Walk App to ensure you have completed your 5K
  • Email us at runwalkstrollforinclusion@gmail.com to let us know if you and your family and friends are participating, and send us a photo showing your participation

Best Buddies is a recognized student organization dedicated to promoting inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through 1:1 friendships with Binghamton University students. Best Buddies is a Binghamton University chapter of Best Buddies International.

The Institute for Child Development at Binghamton University aims to transform the lives of children with ASD, their families, and their communities through compassionate partnerships and high-quality, person-centered, evidence-based practice and is located on the Binghamton University campus. These two organizations are committed to advocating and providing individuals with developmental disabilities across the lifespan with opportunities for inclusion within the local communities.
