Rachel Klosko, PharmD, is originally from Buffalo, N.Y., and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Following graduation, she completed two years of post-graduate residency training at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, specializing in cardiology pharmacy. Klosko joined the Binghamton University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in August 2021 as a clinical assistant professor in cardiology/critical care within the Department of Pharmacy Practice. She also serves as a clinical cardiology/critical care pharmacy specialist at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, where she provides inpatient clinical services as part of an interprofessional team. Her professional and research interests include antithrombotic therapy, mechanical circulatory support, cardiothoracic surgery and advanced heart failure. Additionally, she is passionate about the treatment of patients in rural and underserved areas.
