Karen Reid joined the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in June 2015 as assistant dean for operations and finance.
She received her BA in English from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., and her MHA from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Ill.
Between degrees, Reid worked in several industries as well as in academics. Her background gives her a wide range of experiences to draw upon in her current role, including accreditation processes, budgeting, forecasting and space management.
Most recently, Reid was the executive director for the College of Pharmacy at Rosalind Franklin University, where she learned firsthand what it takes to manage the operations and finances for a pharmacy school from precandidate status through accredited status.
