Ultramodern pharmacy facilities
The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is located in a new, $60-million facility on Binghamton University's 13-acre Health Sciences Campus under development in Johnson City, N.Y. The school welcomed its third incoming class of PharmD students in fall 2019.
The 105,000-square-foot, four-story building includes modern research and teaching labs, offices for faculty and staff, a lecture hall, and interactive classrooms that can be used for lectures, team-based learning and small-group work. There are compounding, pharmaceutical care and sterile labs; mock community and hospital pharmacies; as well as a simulation lab with high-fidelity manikins.
Nearly two floors of the building are dedicated to research with high-tech research tools and equipment as well as high-throughput screening capability and large-data computing.
