SP5.5: Infrastructure to Support Distance Learning

On Nov. 1, 2013, Provost Don Nieman formed an online learning committee to partner with the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) to define campus direction for distance learning. Substantial infrastructure including equipment, network capacity, space and staff supports different types of distance learning. Together with the newly refocused Information Technology Services operation and the CLT, the distance-learning committee will work to ensure the right investments are made to best position the campus to meet its distance-learning needs.

Goals advanced under this project:

  1. Optimize staff and faculty resources
  2. Expand technological resources
  3. Upgrade physical infrastructure of campus
