Center for Leadership Studies named in honor of Bernard and Ruth Bass

The Center for Leadership Studies organized research center has a new name: the Bernard M. and Ruth R. Bass Center for Leadership Studies. The center is named after the late Bernard Bass and his wife, Ruth, to honor his contributions to the center, his lasting and profound impact on Binghamton University and the couple’s generous philanthropic support of the center. A naming celebration was held Sept. 14 in Academic A. The center’s offices are on the third floor of the building.

Bernard Bass is widely recognized in his field as a preeminent scholar in leadership studies who achieved worldwide renown for the University and the center, which he helped establish in 1987. His wife, Ruth, and son, Robert, attended the naming ceremony.
