Calling All Couples!

Stress affects us all and in different ways. The CAST lab is interested in learning more about how stress affects you and your romantic relationship.

We are currently seeking couples who have been in a committed relationship for 6 months or longer to participate in a study at Binghamton University (BU). We are interested in couples who experience a broad range of everyday stress including people who have experienced highly stressful events in their past. Individuals will be compensated for participation.

To be eligible you must:

  • Have been in a committed relationship for six months or longer
  • Both you and your partner are over 18 years of age
  • Both you and your partner speak and read English fluently
  • Not currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or postmenopausal
  • Come together to BU for the study (Free Parking is Available)

The study takes approximately 2.5-3 hours to complete and you will be asked to participate in a series of activities. For more specific information or to schedule an appointment, please call 607-777-5438 and ask for the Stress and Couples Study.

This study is being conducted by Dr. Christina Balderrama-Durbin in the Psychology Department, Protocol #1605000294. For information about your rights as a research participant, you may contact the Human Subjects Research Review office at 607-777-3818.
