Current Students 

All transcripts are ordered through BU BRAIN Self-Service (see the step-by step instructions below).  Transcripts will be sent via USPS.  Please allow 3-5 business days for your request to be processed and mailed.  All current students should submit transcript requests via BU BRAIN Self-Service except when expedited delivery is requested OR an attachment must be sent with the transcript.

Ordering online transcripts:

    1. Login to BU BRAIN Self-Service via the Portal at my.binghamton.edu.
    2. Click on the BU BRAIN Self-Service icon at the top of the page
    3. Select the Your Records tab
    4. Click the link for Request Printed Transcript

Alumni - Graduated Spring 2009 to Present

All transcripts are ordered through BU BRAIN Self-Service (see step-by-step instructions below).  Transcripts will be sent via USPS.  Please allow 3-5 business days for your request to be processed and mailed. Alumni in this category should submit transcript requests via BU BRAIN Self Service using their username and password except when expedited delivery is requested OR an attachment must be sent with the transcript.

  • Don’t remember your username and password? You can still access the BU BRAIN by resetting your password using your B-Number and personal email address. Click here>>

Ordering online transcripts:

Alumni - Graduated prior to Spring 2009

At this time, we do not have the capability to provide you with access to the BU BRAIN Self Service. To order an official transcript (unofficial transcripts are not available to alumni or non-enrolled students), complete the paper transcript request form (pdf, 89 KB), and return to Student Records:

Expedited Delivery 

Federal Express Option

1.  Create a prepaid Federal Express label by clicking on "Create a Shipment" at www.fedex.com/us.

      • Choose one of the following options: "create a user ID for shipping with an account"; "create a User ID for shipping with a credit card";  or "create a one-time credit card shipment."
      • Enter 1 pound for your package weight when prompted.
      • Use your address for the return address.
      • Note: Regardless of the "from" address, the final amount that you are billed will be based on shipping from our office. Your initial quote may be higher or lower than this amount depending on the address you enter as the sender address.
      • If you need help ordering your shipping label, please call Federal Express at 1-800-463-3339.

2. Return a printed copy of the label to the Student Records office via one of the following: 

3. Request official transcript through BU BRAIN Self Service.

        • Enter your Federal Express tracking number in the address information to allow Student Records staff to match transcript to Federal Express shipping label. 

        • For students without BU BRAIN Self Service access, please submit a completed paper transcript request form (pdf, 89KB).

Important Notes about Expedited Shipping: 

  • We will not process any FedEx request without both a prepaid shipping label and electronic transcript request in BU BRAIN Self Service (paper request form if last attended prior to Spring 2009).
  • Please select "Priority Overnight", "First Overnight", "Standard Overnight", "FedEx 2 Day", "FedEx 2 Day AM" or "FedEx Express Saver" as your shipping option.  FedEx will not pick up "FedEx Ground" orders in our office.
  • All overnight shipping charges are the responsibility of the student.
  • Transcripts sent via Fed Ex cannot be sent to a P.O. Box; they must be sent to a physical street address.
  • Actual delivery times vary according to recipient's location.
  • Requests will be sent out the next business day.
  • INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS: You must create a Federal Express account.
  • PLEASE NOTE:  You must select "Priority Overnight" and "Saturday Delivery" for Saturday delivery when ordering to ship overnight on a Friday. 

Attachments

To include an attachment with your transcript, complete a paper transcript request form (pdf, 89 KB), and fax it along with the attachment to Student Records at 607-777-6515; or in person, Admissions Center, Room 112.

About the paper transcript request form:

        • Don't know your B-Number? Instead, provide last four digits of your social security number AND date of birth.
        • An original signature is required; a request without a signature will not be processed.
        • Email and phone requests will not be honored.
        • Please allow 3-5 business days for your request to be processed.
        • If your request cannot be completed as requested, you will be contacted via email.
        • Transcripts will not be provided if there is an outstanding balance with Student Accounts

  • In BU BRAIN Self Service, select the Your Records tab
  • Click the link for Transcript Request Status

Unofficial Transcripts

Current students and alumni with BU BRAIN Self Service access can print an UNOFFICIAL transcript. Once logged in, choose the Your Records tab, click the link for Online Academic Transcript to print an unofficial transcript.
