Binghamton University Connections and Programs
In addition to state-of-the-art technical facilities, the ITC is home to Binghamton University’s Division of Research and specifically the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships which assists BiP member companies with business development and networking activities, including introductions to faculty and other in-house experts and potential R&D collaborators as well as federal and state agency program managers, entrepreneurs in residence, and venture investors.
One high-leverage program offering - the NYSERDA Southern Tier Clean Energy Incubator Program - attracts climatetech ventures from across the globe, and has created a supportive ecosystem for client companies who gain access to industry experts, mentors, proposal and pitch preparation, and funding. Additional BiP programs include the NSF Innovation Binghamton I-Corps Site that provides guided customer discovery training, the US EDA-sponsored XCEED Technology Accelerator Program which offers prototyping and R&D commercialization grants and student internships and fellowships, a Soft Landings Program for international ventures entering the US market, and the BingTech Ventures LLC seed fund.
Existing connections to Binghamton University are not required to participate in programs or become involved with either the Koffman or Start-Up Suites incubators.
