Mountainview Collegiate Professor
Libby Tucker, Distinguished Service Professor of English, specializes in children's and adolescents' folklore, folklore of the supernatural, and legends. She has published five books, including Haunted Halls: Ghostlore of American College Campuses (2007), and is currently working on a book about legend tripping. She has served as president of the International Society for Contemporary Legend Research and is a Fellow of the American Folklore Society.
Libby was Faculty Master of Dickinson Community in the 1990s and of the apartment communities from 2006 to 2009. During the 2017-2018 academic year, as Mountainview's Collegiate Professor, she will be planning programs and other special events to bring faculty members to Mountainview. She is always glad to talk with students during office hours in AP 101: TR 3:15-4:15 and at other times by appointment.
