This housing process is for:
- new freshmen students who start in January 2019 and will live on campus for the spring 2019 semester.
- new transfer students who start in January 2019 and want to live on campus for the spring 2019 semester.
- study abroad students who were abroad for fall 2018 and want to live on campus for the spring 2019 semester.
New freshmen will receive an email in early December from Residential Life with the time and date they may go into the housing system to sign up for housing. Freshman who attend the October orientation will receive priority. All new freshmen are required to live on campus. Complete details on the room selection process will be posted in November.
Transfer and study abroad students can sign-up on this page beginning 10 a.m. on December 21. No invitation or time from Residential Life will be required.
Individual not Group Process
This is an INDIVIDUAL process. Due to the limited number of completely vacant rooms, roommate pairing is not possible during this process.
Throughout the housing process, communication will be sent exclusively through your Binghamton University email account. Please check your B-mail often for updates and process information.
Transfer Student Living
While there are limited opportunities for transfer students to live in our traditional residence halls, the majority of transfer students live in the Apartment Communities (Hillside and Susquehanna). Our Apartments are a great option for upperclassmen and offer the convenience of on-campus living combined with the independence of off-campus living. We have dedicated staff and a Career Consultant in the Apartments who will support you as you transition to Binghamton and help plan for your future. We offer Quiet Living in Susquehanna and Gender Inclusive housing in both Hillside and Susquehanna.
