Gaius Charles Bolin Dissertation Fellowship at Williams College

Two-year award intended to promote diversity on college faculties by encouraging students from underrepresented groups to complete a terminal graduate degree and to pursue careers in college teaching.

Fellows devote the first year to completing the dissertation and teaching one course. Second year is spent on academic development and teaching one course. Awarded to applicants from underrepresented groups, including ethnic minorities, those who are first-generation college graduates, women in predominantly male fields, or disabled scholars.

Annual stipend of $40,000, plus benefits.
