Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Internships

Interns participate in a variety of activities that support individual programs, including research, writing, and project development.
CSIS offers full and part-time internships in the fall, spring, and summer for undergraduates, advanced students, and recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience in public policy.

Eligibility

Must be at least a college junior in good standing, an advanced student or a recent graduate.

Must have at least a 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent from a non-U.S. institution.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Many of our internships are unpaid; however, we do have some stipends that we award each semester based on an applicant’s demonstrated financial need. After you have been awarded an internship you must complete the financial aid questions listed on the application in order to be considered for a stipend.
